In the context of contemporary globalization, art, as a medium that crosses cultural boundaries, is becoming an important tool for people to communicate and express across geographical and language restrictions. The diversity of visual expressions and aesthetic concepts in different cultural backgrounds brings unique charm and richness to artistic creation. China and Europe, as two civilizations with long histories and profound cultural traditions, have rich creations and expressions in the field of art, and each has formed a unique iconography system. By comparing the cultural contrast and expression differences between China and Europe in the field of iconography, we can not only deeply explore the cultural connotation behind art, but also understand the aesthetic concepts of different cultures and their impact on visual language.This article aims to deeply explore the comparison and differences between Chinese and European iconography from a cross-cultural perspective.

Symbols are representative and symbolic signs that carry information that can be accepted and perceived. Modern semiotics emerged at the beginning of the 20th century, pioneered by Saussure and Peirce, and further developed and extended with the rise of structuralism. Film semiotics, a newly born methodology, has had profound effects on film criticism and film studies. This paper, based on the semiotic perspective, explores the origins and applications of film semiotics theory, examining its significance and contemporary value in film criticism.

With the rapid development of rural tourism and the vigorous implementation of rural revitalization policies, rural youth hostels in China are showing promising prospects. Mass-oriented youth hostels are no longer sufficient to meet the diverse needs of society. The development of youth hostels is undergoing new exploration and transformation, with the incorporation of environmental education content providing a new path for the development and transformation of rural youth hostels. This paper, from the perspective of environmental education, elucidates the significance of conducting environmental education in rural youth hostels, proposes new ideas for the construction of rural youth hostels, and outlines the implementation pathways of environmental education in these settings.

The study discusses the variation in general (everyday) communication found in the Urdu lexicon in the previous 10 years. The research is qualitative, based on random interviews collected from Urdu speakers belonging to District Sanghar and Karachi from Sindh; and Lahore from Punjab. The study is based on the data provided by the interviewed participants who have rich experience and proficiency in Urdu. The article aims to find the changes in the lexicon of Urdu that include modifications in Urdu vocabulary by borrowing words and code-mix in communication. It discusses the causes of variations (technology, migration, and language imperialism) in detail and determines the status of language after these changes. It highlights the words used in Urdu speech whose equivalent alternatives are present in Urdu and those words that have died due to a lack of use of those words. It determines the impact of geography, modernization, globalization, and cultural coherence on language. It studies the changes in words used to call family members and friends and the changes in speech for communication between friends and family.

This research was conducted on a comprehensive psychoanalytic inquiry of Alex Michaelides' novel 'The Silent Patient,' focusing on unraveling the intricacies of silence and trauma within the narrative. The study meticulously analyzes the protagonist Alicia Berenson's deliberate choice of silence as a profound form of communication, transcending simplistic victimhood narratives. Employing a qualitative approach, the research delves into the psychological landscape of the characters, with a specific focus on the evolution of Alicia's character. The socio-cultural and historical contexts, particularly within a psychiatric institution, are examined to understand the external factors shaping the characters' experiences. Through thematic exploration, the study identifies recurring motifs such as suppressed personal narratives and the transformative potential of self-discovery. This research contributes to the discourse on mental health representation, emphasizing the enduring relevance of psychoanalytic theory in illuminating the complexities of the human psyche within literary exploration.

This study focuses on the service touchpoint design of the Type II Diabetes Health Management System, aiming to explore how optimizing these touchpoints can enhance patients' treatment experience and self-management capabilities. The research thoroughly analyzes the roles of interpersonal, physical, digital, and sensory touchpoints in disease management. It points out that interactions with healthcare professionals, the usability of health management applications, the prevalence of medical monitoring devices, and the reinforcement of family and social support significantly impact patient satisfaction and health management efficiency. This study not only provides practical design guidelines for health services but also offers theoretical and empirical support for future service system design, promoting the development of the field of health service design.

Communication skills are the most important skills that students need in their academic as well as professional fields. Students, especially those in the English department, may be involved in various activities such as presentations, group discussions, and debates, and soon they need to master communication skills to effectively perform these tasks. This study aims to investigate the communication skills of the third-year students of the English department at Quaid e Awam University Nawabshah. Here, four communication skills, namely reading skills, speaking skills, listening skills, and writing skills, are analyzed using descriptive statistics through an online 4-point Likert scale questionnaire. Data were collected from 34 respondents, based on four dimensions: reading skills, listening skills, writing skills, and speaking skills. The site of the study was Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah. The findings of the study reveal insightful outcomes. Based on the outcomes of the study, it is suggested that the study can be replicated in the context of schools which the acquisition of these four skills is mandatory for high academic achievements.

In authentic circumstances, this qualitative case study explores vocabulary acquisition tactics used by English as Foreign Language (EFL) learners. The study investigates several methods impacted by individual learning preferences, cultural contexts, and exposure to real-world language use through in-depth interviews. The research is guided by two main goals: determining techniques in real-world settings and comprehending learners' assessments of their efficacy. The context of the study is Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah. The research paradigm chosen for this study was Qualitative. Population of the study was from the Department of English and Purposive Sampling was used. The results provide valuable perspectives for language education, highlighting the significance of context, interaction, and tailored methods in the growth of vocabulary. Our understanding of language acquisition dynamics is intended to be enhanced, and the study contributes to efficient language learning approaches by providing insights into instructional practices, curriculum design, and learner support measures.

The real dilemma of innovation and entrepreneurship education in China's colleges and universities includes the problems of biased conceptual understanding, fragmented curriculum system, weak comprehensive ability, deviation of evaluation system, and lack of linkage guarantee. This article puts forward a reform path for the above problems, including building a "practice-oriented" education and training system around talent cultivation goals, building an action research-based innovation and entrepreneurship education reform and innovation system based on problem orientation, improving a multi-level, multi-indicator, diversified and multi-dimensional evaluation system, and focusing on a synergistic support system for internal cooperation and external outreach. The article emphasizes the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship education and puts forward specific paths and methods to solve the real problems.

This paper discusses the construction of the ecological field of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, emphasizing the characteristics of diversified integration and development. As a complete ecosystem, innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities includes the elements of educational value leading, professional knowledge teaching, information literacy cultivation and practical ability cultivation. Problems and challenges in the construction of the ecological field of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, as well as the thinking stereotypes and realistic obstacles that need to be overcome. This paper puts forward useful thoughts and suggestions on the construction of ecological field of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities based on the field theory.

This essay examines the challenges and strategies associated with the preservation of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in the rapidly modernizing context of China. This study is aimed to provide practical guidance for safeguarding ICH by utilizing the sustainable development theory. The research methodology involves conducting comprehensive investigations, analyzing case studies, and examining the social, environmental, and economic dimensions of ICH preservation. Final findings indicate that the modernization of ICH can enhance its sustainability by striking a balance between market demands and the preservation of its intrinsic essence. However, it is crucial to avoid inappropriate modernization that may dilute or commodify ICH, thereby jeopardizing its cultural sustainability. The originality of this study lies in its emphasis on the importance of innovative approaches that consider the perspectives of local communities in promoting and preserving ICH. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of ICH preservation and provides valuable insights into the development of effective strategies and policies for ensuring its long-term sustainability.

Healing gardens, originating from developed Western countries such as the United States, play a crucial role in enhancing both physiological and psychological well-being, as well as rehabilitation. Classical Chinese gardens inherently embody profound elements conducive to health, yet unlike Western Healing gardens, they have not formed a scientific research system. This paper delves into the literature and imagery to comprehensively understand the therapeutic concepts embedded in traditional Chinese gardens. Building upon the existing Western frameworks and the foundation of Chinese culture, it constructs a relatively comprehensive perspective of Healing gardens from the standpoint of Oriental gardens. Furthermore, the paper summarizes and anticipates the research on Healing gardens in China within this context.
